Navel Powel Orange: the best orange of the season—and perhaps all of Spain
The Navel Powel is far from ordinary—this is our most exceptional and prized variety, and for many, the best orange available in Spain. A late-season gem, it’s harvested between mid-March and late April or early May, when most other oranges have already faded.
It offers an intense and unmistakable sweetness, balanced by a smooth, light acidity that enhances the flavor with every bite. As it ripens on the tree, the taste becomes even more spectacular.
With its smooth pulp and high juice content, it’s ideal both as a table orange and for making fresh, flavorful juice. Naturally seedless, medium to large in size, and with excellent post-harvest resistance, it stays fresh when stored properly.
What sets it apart is its cultivation on carrizo rootstock, which enhances both sweetness and quality—though at the cost of lower yields. Very few farmers in Spain take this approach, but we do, because flavor is everything.
