In our area it is harvested ripe from mid-January to the end of March. It is one of the most interesting varieties for its exquisite taste, which attracts consumers beyond its exterior aspect, rough and not particularly attractive. We complain when we eat a very nice tomato and it doesn't have any taste, or a shiny orange without sugar and / or low acidity, but this behaviour is changing and now consumers are valuing more the features of flavour and quality against external appearance.
